Here Lies the Truth
LCPD is working on a new concert to be presented virtually on April 1, 2021. This is the second installment of “Here Lies the Truth”, the work we premiered in the 2020 SEED Festival. Our virtual event will start with a livestream performance of the new work followed by a Zoom talkback for the community. Links to be posted soon!

LCPD’s “Here Lies the Truth” was selected for The Midwest Regional Alternative Dance Festival, being presented virtually March 5-7. This is a juried event based out of the Epic Center in Kalamazoo, MI, and features the best in modern, post-modern, and contemporary dance from all over the country and world. Li Chiao-Ping Dance will present "HERE LIES THE TRUTH" as part of the festival's asynchronous Screendance Film Series March 5-7. The asynchronous events will be available from Friday, March 5, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am EST through Sunday, March 7, 2021 until 10:00 EST. Originally performed in October 2020, the piece explores fake news, facts, and fiction, how we cope with the dissonance that comes from our truth or truths which we may know in our bodies, and asks "Is Truth Dead?"
